Last weekend the Northfield volleyball team was ranked #6 in the state. They traveled to Marshall, MN to play in the Southwest Minnesota Challenge! That is where the girls took down #1 Wayzata, #5 Lakeville North & #7 Chaska to win the 32 team Southwest Minnesota Challenge. This tournament is also where they earned the #1 class AAAA MN ranking and also the USA Today Sports/AVCA #20 ranking in the Nation. Last night the girls went up against Mankato East after a long weekend of matches. They came out right away and beat them in only three sets, with two scores of 25-9 and the final set score of 25-11. The team ended it with a spectacular last point. Every girl played the court well and put up a good game against the opposing team. A great win for the Raider Volleyball Team last night!
