Boys Basketball Lose Tough Game to Century Panthers

On Thursday February 9th, the Raiders took on the Rochester Century Panthers in a scrum for Big 9 seeding. The Raiders fought hard but came up just short with a final score of 77-62.

Soren Richardson led the Raiders with an impressive 28 points on the night, and Sophomore Guard Isiah Mahal scored 15 points. The Raiders shot very well from behind the arc in the first half shooting 5/10. The Panthers shot 61% from three in the first half, going 8/13. The Raiders also shot 20% less than Rochester Century from the field in the first half, shooting 42% to the Panthers 62%.

The Panthers were unselfish with their scoring, with 4 people having double digit points in the contest.
Another significant part of the game that the Panthers won was the battle of the boards, with their 32 total rebounds to the Raiders 17. The Raiders fought hard but were unable to come back against the strong defense of the Panthers. The Raiders look to return to the win column in their next game against the Austin Packers on Tuesday February 14th.
