Northfield snapped a two-game skid in a big way Tuesday with an offensive explosion against Faribault at Memorial Field in Northfield.
The Raiders (3-11, 3-7 Big 9) picked up their first win of the season at home behind a pair of seniors on senior night. Regan Childress and Sydney Kohler each scored for Northfield within the first 10 minutes of the game while sophomores Olivia Rasmussen and Kate Hubers added second-half goals.
Childress scored just four minutes into the match after getting a ball inside the 18-yard box and firing a shot into the back of the net on the near post for a 1-0 lead.
Kohler ripped a shot from just inside the top of the 18-yard box in the eighth minute for a 2-0 advantage over the Falcons (1-14, 0-10 Big 9) who dropped their sixth straight game.
In the 55th minute, Rasmussen sent a shot into the upper corner of the net that went bar down to lift Northfield to a 3-0 lead.
In the 63rd minute, Hubers, normally a defender, moved up to forward and netted a goal off a rocket of a left-footed shot for a 4-0 advantage in the regular season home finale for the Raiders.
Northfield travels to Rochester Thursday to face John Marshall (5-7-1, 4-4-1 Big 9) which snapped a four-game losing streak Tuesday with a 2-1 win over Austin.
